Two cases showed IgA nephropathy, one of which was characterized by segmental mesangial and endocapillary hypercellularity seen on H&E (a) and PAS stains (b), indicated by arrows. There were IgA-dominant immune complex deposits (c, IgA immunofluorescence) with numerous mesangial electron dense deposits ultra-structurally, indicated by arrows (d, electron microscopy).
