Pro-angiogenic, immune modulatory cytokine, and immunosuppressive cytokines have different patterns in plasma and body fluid among healthy volunteer, non-cancerous patients, and gastric cancer patients. a Plasma VEGF-A in mGC were significantly higher than those in healthy volunteers (P = 0.013). VEGF-A levels in mGC body fluid were significantly higher than those in mGC plasma and non-cancerous body fluid. b Plasma IL-10 levels in mGC were significantly higher than those in healthy volunteers (P = 0.001).
